Linkages to Life

The Crescent City (LA) Chapter partnered with Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) on the “12 Days of Giving” Social Media Campaign to increase awareness about organ donation. Each day during the twelve day campaign, chapter members shared their reason for giving the gift of life by registering to be an organ, eye, and tissue donor.

HHS Facet hosted a Instagram Live Intimate Conversation about organ donation, moderated by CCL Lucinda DeGrange, featuring mother and daughter Missy and Kayla Allain.

The Mobile Mammogram Initiative spearheaded by Crescent City Chapter member, Dr. Cheryl Williams, resulted in the completion of 14 mammograms. Collectively, facet members assisted in the successful registration of 66 mammograms.

Donor’s Sabbath on Sunday at St. Gabriel the Archangel
The chapter participated in a cluster observation of the annual Donor Sabbath. A service was held at St. Gabriel the Archangel to increase awareness of the needs for the lifesaving and enhancing gifts passed to others through organ donation.
